Journalism has been part of who I am for close to ten years. In fourth grade, I proclaimed myself the Editor-in-Chief of my class newspaper, and took it upon myself to share articles in a sporadically printed 8-page packet. I have been continually involved with student journalism ever since, continuing the same mission of bringing a greater understanding of current events to my classmates and community. This portfolio details my commitment to journalism through my own writing, content, mentorship and leadership of a staff of over 50 people on my school newspaper.
